Our President and cofounder, Jack Vincent, has
over forty year's experience in various professional and technical positions,
managing such diverse functions as Community Development, Customer Services,
and Safety & Technical Skills Training. Mr. Vincent's Community
Development and Economic Development experience includes: conducting
community economic development assessments; facilitating community strategic
planning; creating marketing material for communities and regions;
facilitating brownfields identification and redevelopment; creating and
implementing targeted marketing programs; conducting national and
international business recruitment; and developing and delivering leadership
training. Mr. Vincent also authored two chapters in An Introduction To Community Development, the text used in
Community Development Institutes throughout the United States. He has led
consulting interventions for numerous small businesses and performed economic
development work in Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma,
South Carolina, Texas and Ukrainian communities.
Mr. Vincent received his
B.A. (Government) from Southeastern Louisiana University,
and a Master's degree in Education (Adult Learning and Development) from the
University of New Orleans. He continued his education at the University of
New Orleans completing all work on his doctoral degree except for his
dissertation. His advanced studies involve the transfer of training into
performance using specific and timely feedback. In addition to his contributions
to the community development handbook, Mr. Vincent has published several
articles in national periodicals and authored numerous monographs. He is currently working on a Veteran to
Veteran Ministry Project.
JoAnn G. Vincent, CEO of Performance
Development Plus,
is an experienced educator and activist. She holds a Bachelors of Education
Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University where she graduated magna cum
laude. A public school teacher with twenty-four years experience, Ms. Vincent
has received numerous grants and awards including an Excellence in Education
award from The Chamber/New Orleans and The River Region. She was also one of
seventy-five women receiving Spirit of Betty Crocker Awards from General
Mills, Inc. for the 75th Anniversary of Betty Crocker. In 1998, Ms. Vincent
was selected to participate in a videotape production that will be used by
Louisiana to train and recruit new teachers. She has also published articles
in national magazines describing community service projects implemented by
her public school students.
